Sakonnet Railroad Bridge Demolition
This $1.6M project included the removal of the existing super- and sub-structures of the Sakonnet River Railroad Bridge. Turino was brought onto the project prior to advertisement to assist in determining the most expeditious way to complete the project. We worked closely with the project team to develop a design that would allow optimal demolition sequences which ultimately saved nine months of project time. The contract was bid and completed within the new time allotted and the bid price was less than the Engineer's Estimate.
